Saying bye is tough

There’s been many points in the past couple of weeks when I’ve wondered what the hell I’m doing! I mean, I know I can do it, but leaving my friends & family and stepping into the unknown alone is pretty daunting. Luckily I’ve got an amazing fiancé who has kept me happy, excited and on track. We went for a lovely Mediterranean meal last night, had some posh bubbly and laughed all night long, it was the perfect evening!

We had a quick and (almost) painless goodbye at Heathrow less than 2 hours ago, we both agreed dragging it out would make it harder. Plus I had to have Cali bear in the car with me for last minute cuddles! I’ll miss them both way too much! 😢

So this is where it starts, sat at Heathrow airport with my stuffed backpack eating a Caffè Nero sandwich waiting for my flight to Dubai, then it’s on to Colombo, Sri Lanka! My first stop!

I’ll keep you posted with the amazing, stupid, funny and no doubt idiotic things I get up to along the way. And also list any of my favourite places in case anyone else decides they’re as mad as me and takes the plunge! 😄
